Public engagement

  • Edoardo Sanguineti. Il volto del poeta (Torino, Galleria d’Arte Moderna e contemporanea, 7 December 2022-19 February 2023).Through a selection of works from the extensive private collection of Casa Sanguineti, the exhibition sought to reconstruct the poet and intellectual’s enduring friendships and fruitful collaborations with some of the most celebrated artists of his time.
  • Edoardo Sanguineti nella città «cruciverba» (Archivio di Stato-Sezioni Riunite, 12 December 2023-30 April 2024). The exhibition draws primarily on the collections of the Centro Studi Interuniversitario "Edoardo Sanguineti": lexicographical index cards, correspondence, unpublished writings, proofs, and multimedia materials. These documents are displayed alongside selected lexicographical index cards from the Literary Examples Collection (Discarded and Supplementary Materials) of the Grande Dizionario della Lingua Italiana, to which Sanguineti contributed, through the crucial mediation of his friend Tullio De Mauro, as editor of the Supplements. The exhibition, which seeks to reconstruct Sanguineti’s unbroken relationship with Turin, is organized into six interdisciplinary sections: Lexicography, Poetry and Prose, Criticism and Activism, Politics, Theatre, and the Arts.
  • As part of the cultural series Le letture di Sinestesie, the YouTube channel of the Associazione Culturale Internazionale Edizioni Sinestesie published the video Edoardo Sanguineti nella città «cruciverba». Curated by Maurizio Consolandi, Nicolò Pilon, Elena Bighin, and Gianluca Fiore (University of Turin, StudiUmLab), the video is devoted to the exhibition, of which it shares the title, held at the State Archives of Turin, Sezioni Riunite. It features contributions by Clara Allasia, Valentina Corosaniti, Virginia Criscenti, Calogero Giorgio Priolo, Lorenzo Resio, Erminio Risso, Chiara Tavella, and Saverio Vita.   • Da Baj a Ziveri - Gli artisti della Collezione Sanguineti (Biella, Palazzone, Banca Patrimoni Sella & C. (19 July 24-7 January 2025). An exhibition featuring a selection of artworks from Casa Sanguineti, paired with texts by the Genoese poet and critic.

  • As part of Flight - Mostra Internazionale del Cinema di Genova, the special event Un poeta al cinema, devoted to Edoardo Sanguineti, curated by Giuliano Galletta («Il Secolo XIX»), with the participation of Clara Allasia, Eleonisia Mandola, Erminio Risso, and Federico Sanguineti, 19 October 2023.
  • Opening of the exhibition Edoardo Sanguineti nella «città cruciverba» (with contributions by Stefano Benedetto, Clara Allasia, Franco Prono, and Donato Pirovano followed by a guided tour led by the project team), Turin, Archivio di Stato, Sezioni Riunite, 12 December 2023.
  • The project Inside the black-box: “Il Giuoco dell’Oca” di Edoardo Sanguineti, developed in collaboration with StudiUmLab and students from the University of Turin’s DAMS degree programme, offers an immersive, playful journey through the pages of Sanguineti’s novel, incorporating images, sounds, and other multimedia content. The project was presented on the following occasions:
    • 13-15 May 2024, in the atrium of Palazzo Nuovo (via Sant’Ottavio 20, 10124 Torino);
    • 29 August- 1 September 2024, in Cuneo, as part of the Mirabilia Festival;
    • 24-30 September 2024,  at the Palazzo del Rettorato, as part of the 2024 European Researchers’ Night programme;
  • On 10 May 2024, as part of the Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, Federico Sanguineti and Elisabetta Pozzi, introduced by Francesco De Nicola, celebrated Liguria’s literary excellence with a reading of some of the finest poems by authors associated with the region, including Edoardo Sanguineti;
  • As part of European Researchers’ Night, on 27 September 2024, Sandro Lombardi performed a recital entitled Riscritture dantesche: Sanguineti, Luzi, Giudici at the Teatro Romano (Musei reali Torino). This event, like the one that followed it, was organized within the framework of the 2022 PRIN project Dante nella contemporaneità. Le riscritture teatrali, in collaboration with the Centro Studi.
  • 9 April 2021, webinar presenting Antonio Saccone’s (University of Naples) volume «Secolo che ci squarti... secolo che ci incanti». Studi sulla tradizione del moderno. The author discussed the volume with Clara Allasia, Franca Bruera and Laura Nay (Università di Torino). (University of Turin).   • 19 May 2023, Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, Centro Congressi Lingotto Fiere – Turin, Sala Lisbona, presentation of the special issue of the journal «Sinestesie» Ritratto/i di Sanguineti: 1930-2010/20, curated by Clara Allasia, Lorenzo Resio, Erminio Risso, and Chiara Tavella.
  • On 18 September 2025, on RSI-Swiss Radio and Television broadcast an interview with Erminio Risso (University of Turin) entitled Sanguineti lessicografo. Nella lingua labirintica dello scrittore. The programme also presented the double issue of«Sinestesie» devoted to Edoardo Sanguineti nella città «cruciverba», as well as six of Sanguineti’s works recently reissued by Feltrinelli with new introductions by Risso (Capriccio italiano, Il Giuoco dell'Oca, L'orologio astronomico, Segnalibro, Il gatto lupesco e Mikrokosmos).   • On 12 May 2025, the Turin Committee of the Società Dante Alighieri (via Cesare Battisti, 17) hosted the presentation of Edoardo Sanguineti nella città «cruciverba», curated by Clara Allasia, Donato Pirovano, Lorenzo Resio, Erminio Risso, and Chiara Tavella, and published as a regular issue of the journal «Sinestesie», XXXIII, 2025. In addition to the editors, participants included Carlo Santoli (University of Salerno), president of the Associazione Culturale Internazionale Edizioni Sinestesie, and Giovanni Saccani, president of the Turin Committee of the Società Dante Alighieri, in collaboration with which the event was organized.
  • On 19 May 2025, the Auditorium G. Quazza at Palazzo Nuovo (via Sant'Ottavio, 20), hosted the event Fumetti con e senza figure: tre libri su Calvino. Lorenzo Resio (University of Turin) was joined in conversation by Epifanio Ajello (University of Salerno), author of Il signor Palomar e Marcovaldo a Torino (Mimesis, Milano 2025), and the artists Sara Colaone and Lorenza Natarella, who recently illustrated for Mondadori comic-book adaptations of Il visconte dimezzato and Il cavaliere inesistente.
